Greetings,

For decoding whatever, can I simply connect the earphone output to the MIC of a sound card? Can the data interface connection accomplish this task via the serial port? Or do I need a descriminator port?

If a descriminator is the only option, does anyone know of a reliable source to have it installed?

Thanks In Advance!

For most decoding, you WILL need a discriminator tap (or for some AM modes a detector tap). For 9600 Motorola trunked system decoding, the scanner supports programs such as PRO96COM directly from the PC Interface port.
