I'm unsure how many people know. But Dekalb County is going to Central Dispatch. They are in the process of building the Central Dispatch now. The lastest I heard was possible move is in June or July. That means Garrett & Auburn will be under County Dispatch. I know that Garrett Dispatchers are losing there jobs when the move happens.

Auburn PD has moved all Police communications to the Safe-T Network now. Unsure what's going to happen to the EDACS system they where using. So far I haven't heard anything on the EDACS since the move.

Garrett PD still using there frequency, They do have Safe-T on there radio's but rarely use it.

County still dispatches on VHF for Fire & EMS.

That really sucks that the Garrett Dispatchers are loosing their jobs. Lake County is in the process of putting their Central Dispatch together. I hate to see how many dispatchers out of the 18 psaps are going to loose their jobs.

Auburn has not used any other tags on safe-t since going to safe-t. I'm aware of the other tags on the edcas. I have an eye on what is going on. Once everything goes to central dispatch is when everything well take shape.

They are on a new 800 digital system. They were using the SAFE-T system which is also digital. I'm attempting to locate the new control channel, but I may be too far away. Time to look up the FCC licenses.

I am pretty certain this started today. Last night there were still dispatchers in Auburn and DeKalb's PSAPs separately. But today the county and Auburn PD were both calling "central" instead of their old dispatch. There was also a large amount of traffic on 15520, which was formally labeled as "County Ops 4" but is now listed as "unknown" in the database.

Auburn's EDACS system is now completely off the air. I haven't heard anything about what the plans are for it, if any. Attempts to get info from Chief McCoy have proved to be futile as he just replies with vague answers like, "we're looking into possibilities."

That's because some of the talkgroups are now assigned different than what we first had them listed as when we entered them into the DB years ago. So we'll need confirmation on what those are being used for :)

From what I have heard over the course of the day today pretty much confirms that 15520 is now strictly used as County Sheriff Dispatch and 15504 now appears to be a central inter-op channel.

I still don't know about these four (15568, 15584, 15600, 15648), but I would imagine that Auburn Fire will probably get assigned one of them before too long. As far as I know they're still using their local VHF repeater. I wouldn't be surprised if Garrett fire gets one also in time. I'll keep listening.

Guys, plug these in and be on the lookout. These are also DeKalb talkgroups but we do not know the assignments on them.

deeplist,

Do you listen to Noble County? I'm unable to pick up any Law Enforcement on Safe-T. I currently use a pro 106. I have all the control channels in the scanner but I don't pick up anything. I do however pick up Fire & EMS from Noble County. If you could let me know that would be great.\

A little birdie told me :)

Thanks and let us know if you hear anything on them. They may or may not be in use.

It appears that TG 15600 is Auburn Fire Dispatch found from the Med run that they had this afternoon just prior to 3 PM.
