Dekalb IL going to Starcom

Heard from a very reliable source that the Dekalb PD is ditching it's analog VHF system for Starcom. They plan on having the communications transfer completed by Homecoming.

interesting dekalb county doesnt have a starcom site nearest one is morris, elburn in kane or out in ogle county. allong the tollway the cc is good but dont know about in city dekalb they could use one in kendall/dekalb

I'm now hearing that they have all but scrapped their plans to switch to Starcom.
