DeKalb (IL) Police have changed frequencies.

It’s been rumored locally that the DeKalb (IL) Police Department was going to move away from STARCOM 21 and go to the DeKalb County (IL) Public Safety Freqs. This event has happened . DPD is using TG51. I’ve had one scanner locked onto STARCOM 21 with the DPD talk groups and haven’t heard anything for hours. Meanwhile, on another scanner, DPD has been as active as usual on the DeKalb County Public Safety freqs. These are the same freqs that the sheriff’s dept uses.

Correction on that frequency I meant 154.86 , was that the old Dekalb Co frequency,...

They've been on this system for about half a year now. They occasionally patch it to 155.25 (DPD/DFD backup repeater) for NIUDPS, but its rare.
154.86 is the backup repeater for DeKalb County agencies (DCSO/PDs/FDs). Sometimes used for PD car to car (not very often)

I visited the "Rural King Store" a while back using my 325P2 , the system sounded good but the CChannel was intermittent going back east towards rt47,....
