i was wondering if anyone knew if delanco police in burlington county had a sideband that they use like a local government channel or something i cant find anything on them at all anyplace ? thanks Danny
I don't know what they use now, I haven't had any interest in listening, but years ago it was 155.490 maybe they still use it. They do use the Burlington County APCO-25 Digital System.
Keep a ear on North West zone car to car talk group 19312. Here in Medford they use the west zone car to car talk group often as a chit chat channel. They could be on simplex or a conventential repeater too. Next time you see a Delran cruiser take a look at what antennae are on it. Antenna are band specific. This will tell you what bands they are operating on if you know your antennae.
Antennas are not band specific? What engineering theory does that come from?
Antennas are band specific on mobile radios and base stations.
Very short 800, 450-500 ,VHF are specific. Now there are some center loaded UHF antennas but you don't see too much of that on local agencies with decent radio systems.

I think you misread my post. I never stated that antennae are not band specific. They most certainly are. The long center loaded type can be a little more difficult to determine what band thay are for just by looking but they are usually UHF around here. Delran is on the county UHF trunked radio system. I would start looking for their other channels if they have one there or on the UHF band.
