System Hold = 0.

Channel Delay = 2.

If you have System Hold set to 0, more systems will be scanned in a given length of time. Whatever System Hold is set to will be the length of time in seconds that the scanner spends scanning that system before moving on to the next system. If it is set to 0, the channels in that system will be scanned once before the scanner moves on to the next system.

I'm here a lot
I concur with Mark . (0 and 2) System hold "bugs" me. I prefer to keep things "moving"
If something makes me "turn my head" I let the channel delay do it's job and let me "eyeball" the talkgroup.

I've found that setting HOLD to 0 and DELAY to 2 works best for me. I was missing too much stuff when I had HOLD set to 2.

I've been playing around with Hold times lately. I find that 0 works for most systems, especially larger ones. OTOH, if there is a smaller system that I want to prioritize, I'll use a longer Hold time. Lot's of room for experimentation here.

I use 0 and 2 for less active channels.

For channels that always have a 'hold the station' emergency tone, I find that 0-3 works best. With the delay set at 3, whenever something interesting is happening and has a tone, it will delay long enough to stay on that channel the whole time until the station is clear--so you dont miss any traffic there.
