It puzzles me how certain feed providers will put a feed on broadcasting , sometimes with multiple agencies featured for listening and they use no delay on the individual agencies , so it is very hard to follow what is going on it's becomes a who's who , can't understand this. If you provide a feed please put some delay on it , at least 3 seconds or more if possible that way we can hear the replies ECT I was listening to the Houston police feed all departments and just gave up listening because you can't make since what's going on because it quickly jumps to another district before you hear the replies

I run 13 feeds and no channels have delay. This is done so it can follow the most channels in a short time.
It all depends on what is being streamed and what the majority of people want to hear.
I always take respectful input on my feeds, but in the end I spend all the money to put the feed up, so its going to be how I feel it works best

And that's your right to do so. But people might not listen to a feed if it's a lot of different agencies talking. And if an emergency or something of interest happens on one of those channels nobody can follow that incident because All the other groups in the feed are popping up

The nature of the SDR I use, it queues up the calls it receives as individual calls, since it is decoding multiple at the same time and plays them back sequentially on the feed. I do have alpha tags indicating the talkgroup/channel playing so you can keep track that way. You won't miss any calls, but there may be multiple events interwoven.

If you want to customize it, use the calls feed I also provide from the same sources and make your own playlists.

Unless it is an official feed, we as providers cannot put a delay on a feed.

Feed Provider Terms of Service - What can and cannot be broadcast

Feed Delays: Feed broadcasters are prohibited from implementing any user defined delays on their broadcasts unless they have the written approval from the Broadcastify administration staff. Written approval for feed delays are typically only granted to official feed providers.

I think the op is referring to a resume scanning delay of a few seconds. I assume a resume scanning delay is used on every conventional Broadcastify feed. It makes sense to wait a few seconds for a reply while listening to a scanner, as back-to-back calls with an SDR can be difficult to follow on a busy system. If the calls could be queued to play in the order of the conversation, simulating a conventional system with a delay, it would make for a more enjoyable listening experience.

Yeah I kind of thought of that after the fact when I posted it. That is doable but only as you said with a scanner and not SDR.

Yes before resuming scanning. That's what I was asking
