This topic seems to be debatable, so I'm trying to get some answers for specific trunked systems in the GTA.

For all conventional frequencies, I have the delays on my GRE PSR800 turned to ON for a few secs, to be able to monitor continuous conversations.

For trunked systems, some recommend the delay be turned OFF, as it's unlikely that when a transmission ends, the reply will come on the same frequency. On the other hand, a delay in a trunked system will give me the option to view important info such as TGRP, RadioID, Alpha Tag & Frequency - which is why I have also left the delay to ON for all my trunked systems

So, I'm wondering what folks' experience with this delay setting is, especially with the following trunked systems:

Fleetnet Zone 1
Durham Region
Peel Region
York Region
Halton Region
TPS

I have tried turning the delay ON/OFF for Fleetnet 1, but could not tell the difference, other that being able to read the info on display with the delay turned ON.

Also, does it matter whether it's a digital or analog system?

Thx

P.S. My software's default is set to Delay = 2 sec for both conventional & trunked systems
