DELCO Fireboard Realignment of Channels

Did Delco reassign the fire channel. I listen in Chester Co. on the internet.

Which fire channel? There are many

If you haven't listened in a while, fire channels 7 and 8 have been split apart.

Channel 7 used to be primary for districts 2 (City of Chester, 3 (Ridley Twp.) and 12 (Ridley Park, Prospect Park, Eddystone and Tinicum)
Channel 8 was the secondary channel for the same districts.

Now channel 7 is used by districts 3 & 12. Channel 8 is used by district 2.

Also many departments have merged within recent years. A few come to mind: 17: Aston Twp, 33: Collingdale Boro, 10: Upper Chichester Twp...

Thanks all. When did 21 shut down. I was a member there in the 70-80’s. We had a hard time getting non social members then.

Been awhile not sure how long off hand they still have equipment etc they just aren’t recognized as the Darby Fire Company anymore along with 04 so the county only dispatches 04 and the surrounding mutual aid companies.
