deleting a channel? Bearcat UBC 760XLT scanner

broke out my scanner after a loooong time. i'm reprogramming it with local channels. i have a TON of channels i no longer use.
i can't for the life of me find a way to delete or reset a channel. entering 0 or 0.0 or 000.000 just throws an error.
yes, i have the lockout switch off.

i can lock out channels, but if i want to lock out a couple of channels temporarily then reset it will unlock all of them.

short of removing the memory battery, is there a way to remove channels?

You can only overwrite them or lock them out.

thanks. i hope newer designs allow for removing channels. such a basic thing to leave out of an interface.

i found a way to reset all the channels here.
