This is probably a dumb question, but I need to delete a frequency in a TYS object. I don't need to replace it, but delete it. In other words bring it back to all zeros. I can't seem to find the proper method of doing this. it keeps telling me format error if I enter zero, or all zeros.

Thanks

The easiest (and only way I know of) is to use one of the programming software packages to do it. If you haven't tried them yet, you can download trials for 30 days and manipulate the radio data. The $30 or so is well worth it. I'm sure there is a way to do it by hand, but this radio was really not designed to be programmed by hand.

do you mean delete an id or a system frequency? if you need to delete a frequency from a system, press f2 (tsys) when stopped on an id in the system. then press prog, then edit, then curr. scroll down to frequencies then press sel. there is a del soft key (f3) press save and save again. to delete an id, stop on the id, then press prog, then func, then cl. choose yes.
