We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I forgot where exactly this was posted on this site but it had a video link of a laptop on fire, etc. Anyways, Dell and Sony have announced a recall of those batteries affected you can find out if you are one of the ones recalled by going to www.dellbatteryprogram.com I figured I'd put this out for anyone who may need it. according to the dell story they are going to take a 400 million dollar hit on it. I almost freaked when I saw 2 of our models on the recall list. Good luck to those who need the new batteries.

Yeah, my Dell Inspiron 8600 was listed as a laptop that might be affected by the defective battery, but my battery's serial# wasn't a match. Dodged a bullet on that one LOL
