Does anyone know what frequency Delta uses for Ops at KRSW (Ft. Myers)? I have their ground ops frequency, but I'm looking for the frequency they use to talk to inbound planes when they're in range. The database lists 131.85, but I've never heard anything on that.

They probably don't call in range on the radio. With ACARS and modern technology, it is rare for major airlines to make in range calls on the radio anymore. For example I work at SFO and monitor lots of ops frequecies and the only one's that I hear call in range are the United Express Skywest flights. They mostly do it to confirm their gate and if it will be open or not and pass on wheel chair request, amd other similar items.

I remember when I first started monitoring the airband, departing flights also had to call operations after departure with their OUT and OFF times and fuel onboard.

My home airport is KERI. Guess I'm just used to the Ops callins, and yes it is Skywest, United Express, and American Eagle. I did hear one call on 131.85 at KRSW yesterday, but couldn't pin down who it was.

Now it's done in the background on ACARS. So on days where ACARS is INOP or smaller stations with no ACARS signal, we will still call the station on it's assigned ASRI frequency and give our times. The fact it's automatic makes life easier for us, were lazy as pilots.

You're on the right track however, calls to ops are not too common on the Delta Air Lines system at line stations. They rely mostly on ACARS and flightaware for tracking us at the line stations. For the most part, those ASRI base stations are in the ops station's office. So if no one is in the office any radio call falls on deaf ears.

While I don’t know about RSW, I have notes on that one being used by Delta in MCO and FLL. I think I heard them at MIA as well but didn’t write it down.
