Denver Dist 4 - Prank Call

Reporting party called in on non-emergency line stating that about an hour prior to calling, a black male entered the back yard of this address acting suspicious and the home owner shot him, tied him up and was kicking the supposed predator.

RP also indicated he would shoot at police if they entered the house. Air 1, metro, several sergeants, Dist 4 on duty lieutenant and a grip of patrol officers converged on the scene and found nothing.

RP later indicated that this was a prank call and then hung up. Communications section was unable to confirm location due to the caller called in on the non-emergency line.

I wonder if this is the same person who has been calling the Westy PD lately. Same type of *crap* going on there. Some dude on a cell phone calling in bogus emergencies, which they can't trace for some reason. They knew it was false though because the phone he's using has gps and the location he gave didn't match what the dispatcher saw with the gps.

This just gives DPD ammo in the fight of having a scanner free system, the guy could of been close just watching.
