Who is going to manufacture it? And what will it call sign be?

Both good questions that I don't know the answer to for sure. My assumption is Freightliner / Pierce and Brush 18.

I recently heard that DFD has purchased a Type III wildland engine which will be delivered this year and housed at Station 18. It will be cross-staffed when necessary and used for deployments.

It may have already arrived, drove by last week and there is already one rig, looked like a mini or a brush in the new station.

No wildland rig yet. Command Truck is going to 18 so not likely to be there. Last pump and roll rig for weed fires was at 29 and will probably be home to any wildland rig due to arsenal-Pena Blvd corridor.

There isn't a Tower assigned there so if its in the bay I would guess it's the reserve tower.
