The other day I heard Denver fire say "go to radio to radio FOUR!
Of course this was in Downtown. I usually here them say R2R 1 or 2.
Anyone know for sure what four is, and if there is a three? I would guess that they would be non trunked like one & two. Also, now that I found my old books, another ?... Who dispatches the tiny SKYLINE fire dept that is around Holly St & Yale Ave?

TIA

Yes Radio to Radio simplex channels are available for each district chiefs area 2-7 but you only normally hear the downtown ones in use because of the highrise buildings with bad radio coverage.

Skyline is dispatched by Douglas County on DTRS and ambulance response for there very few calls is usually Cunningham R-61 and when not available it's Action Care.

Thanks Jim, but I was wondering if anyone knew the actual freq for R to R FOUR, i.e., R to R one is 867.8625. Also wondering if anyone has heard of a R to R three. Odd that Skyline would be Douglas dispatched. I would have guessed South Metro.

South Metro is correct, they are also Douglas County dispatched, along with Parker, Castle Rock, South Metro, Cunningham, Larkspur, Franktown, Jackson 105, West Douglas etc etc

I could have sworn that Skyline Fire was dispatched by Littleton. Now that I think about it though, I think I have heard Skyline on Douglas County also. Was Skyline previously dispatched by Littleton?

Thank you, but I caught that the first time. As strange as it might seem, I did hear Skyline Fire dispatched on Littleton. Albeit, it was quite some time ago.

Skyline only gets a couple of calls per week, but the last call I heard for them about 2 weeks ago was on Littleton Fire. It was funny because the dispatch for Rescue 61 on Douglas County Fire actually came through a minute or two before the one for Engine 81 from Skyline on the Littleton Dispatch Channel.
