DENVER - A suspect is dead after shots were exchanged with SWAT team members at a metro area apartment complex.
The shooting happened at around 9:30 Friday morning at the Albrook Apartments located at 47th and Peoria, according to Denver Police.
Police say Metro SWAT teams responded to the area and were conducting and immediate entry as search and arrest warrants had already been obtained as part of an ongoing investigation.
After making entry, SWAT teams found a male suspect with a gun. Shots were exchanged and the suspect was killed.
No officers were injured and homicide detectives have responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing and 9NEWS.com will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
