Dispatch 2 patched from the PS EDACS system using Talkgroup 35083 and showing unique radio ID's even though their transmissions are originating on the EDACS side.

It will surely be interesting how all of this works out when this whole system & sites is all built and tied together. I hope most of us will still be around to figure it out.

Maybe we will have available SDR's that can be easily made to do whatever is the flavor of the decade; but then maybe again we won't be able to hear diddly squat :p

Denver EDACS-P25 radio IDs showing up via the EDACS-P25 gateway

For the radio IDs, so far here is what has been observed:

DISPATCH CONSOLES

DPD District-1 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 501 and the P25 radio ID is 9980501
DPD District-2 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 502
DPD District-3 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 503
DPD District-4 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 504
DPD District-5 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 505
DPD District-6 Dispatch Console EDACS radio ID is 506
DPD Dispatch Relief Console EDACS radio ID is 507
DPD Clearances Console EDACS radio ID is 508
DPD Clearances Console EDACS radio ID is 509
DPD Dispatch Supervisor Console EDACS radio ID 510

There are a few others that have popped up during the recent testing (511 through 520) and are presumed to be new additions.

To get the P25 radio ID for one of the dispatch consoles above, it will be 9980XXX (where XXX is the EDACS radio ID of the console).

DPD VEHICLE RADIO IDs

Vehicle radio IDs on EDACS are 2XXX

District-1 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 21XX
District-2 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 22XX
District-3 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 23XX
District-4 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 24XX
District-5 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 25XX
District-6 vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 26XX
Traffic Ops vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 27XX
DUI cars vehicle radio IDs for EDACS are 28XX
Gang, SWAT, some detective and other specialized vehicles use EDACS IDs 29XX

The P25 radio IDs for these (with only a couple exceptions) are 80XXXX (where XXXX is the 4 digit EDACS radio ID for one of the above vehicle radios).

ALL OTHER RADIO IDs (PORTABLES AND OTHERS)

As these unique P25 radio IDs (that do not fit the above conventions) pop up, I've been correlating them to their EDACS radio ID. So far I have a spreadsheet with hundreds of radios with their P25-EDACS translation/equivalent. I'll post a link to that spreadsheet below and will try to add to it as more show up on the P25 side via the EDACS--P25 gateway.

As for the talk group IDs, here is the P25-EDACS cross reference so far:

EDACS TG..........P25 TG..........TG Name

529 (04-021)..........35072..........DPD D1 Dispatch
545 (04-041)..........35083..........DPD D2 Dispatch
561 (04-061)..........35094..........DPD D3 Dispatch
577 (04-081)..........35105..........DPD D4 Dispatch
593 (04-101)..........35116..........DPD D5 Dispatch
609 (04-121)..........35127..........DPD D6 Dispatch

Just add 2 to the last digit of the EDACS/P25 talk group ID to get each district's TAC channel.

The Clearance channel (EDACS TG 692) has been logged as P25 TG-35192.

129.......................35048..........EEB Systems-1 (used for radio testing and EEB radio convos)
130.......................35049..........EEB Systems-2 (used for ProVoice testing on the EDACS side)

We've been trying to figure out the 37991 and 37992 TGs that have been showing up a lot on site 606 along with DPD TGs. Anyone have any ideas?

That is good info; thank you. ( I wish I had the time to do it)

Looks like they are planning for a hopefully stress free transition; I still wonder what DFD will think when the digital is slowly stuffed down their throat---?

While we've already heard people say 8XXXXX is Denver, it appears Denver PD radios are in the 800, 801, and 803XXX range and DFD is 813, 814XXX, etc.

Speaking of DFD... I've heard DFD units come over to DPD district channels a few times while the EDACS to P25 gateway was active lately. DFD Engine-26 with EDACS ID 13176 showed 813801 on the P25 side. An Arson unit EDACS 13837 was 814137 on P25.

Also heard on DPD TGs were "Frank-11" city traffic engineering EDACS 1838 and P25 814575. A DOC unit with EDACS 7686 had P25 ID 825099. And a Denver Park Ranger with EDACS ID 1717 was 839821 on P25. Also a Denver ambulance EDACS 14384 was 826926 on P25.

I've heard "CU-3" and "CU-36" (not DU) on EDACS 11703 and 11736 which showed up as 825703 and 825736 on P25. They were operating at their CU hospital building at 9th and Colorado.

These guys popping over to DPD TGs while they are testing might help us figure out different agency's ID ranges.

I am about 80% sure I heard some DPS (Schools) talking on BlueSE on the EDACS side, this afternoon but it was obviously a patch from digital. I had to quit listening as I reached my destination.
Kinda weird but I could be wrong.

Dept of Corrections (DOC) fugitive units and Aurora SWAT were the only ones using BLUE SE today and they were using it in the afternoon.

Post a message about DPD showing up and it turns into I.D. the I.D.'s amd EDACS Talkgroups versus P25 Talkgroups and math problems.

For the majority who read this forum all they care about is what Talkgroups DPD and DFD are using, whether their scanner can receive them, Phase I or Phase 2, what the tables are this week and if anything is or has gone secret squirrel. Posting a boatload of radio I.D.'s not so much.

Sorry Phil, me neither, but I found it interesting anyway; I have never been a stickler for websites never wandering around a bit.

(It was me that pulled it off kilter.)

No worries. I was trying for a keep it simple thread for the non technical folks.

Though I do feel the transition thread should be a sticky since this is going to be more than an ordinary system cutover.
