Denver PS patched to MARC

This is not listed in the Database since the consensus some time ago was there would be confusion for anyone using Uniden or Whistler scanners with database based scanning.

This is a P25 digital system.

Note that newer Uniden scanners (396/996/436/536) have a serious problem of not holding on to these talkgroups in scan mode.

GRE/RadioShack/Whistler scanners do not exhibit this behavior.

Also these talkgroups show up randomly and are NOT all full time on this site.

In any event these talkgroups have been consistent for well over a year now:

35094 DISPATCH 3
35105 DISPATCH 4
35116 DISPATCH 5
35127 DISPATCH 6
35138 TRAFFIC OPS 1 (T.O. 1)

I think that we should start listing the Denver Public Safety TGs on MARC. There would need to be a note for each Talkgroup Category clearly stating that Denver Public Safety does not use MARC and to use Denver EDACS to monitor.

It think it is causing some confusion for those that do listen to MARC regularly when they stumble onto what they think is an unknown TG. Almost all the other systems list TGs as they are identified, whether or not they are regularly used on the system.

Hopefully a database administrator can let us know if they think we should start formally listing the TGs in the database.

Clearances 1 (35192) can be heard occasionally when one of the Denver ROW guys needs to run something. It is not consistent since it only appears when they switch their radios to the channel and disappears as soon as they switch to something else.

Denver EDACS (both systems) is fully networked into MARC. Pretty much all the TGs actively used on EDACS has a corresponding MARC TG somewhere in the 35000 range. They just haven't been heard over the air since no one in Denver Public Safety is actively using the system. On the other hand, City Services tends to be heard on both systems fairly regularly these days.
