Has anyone else been having problems monitoring Denver. My Pro 94 scans for a few minutes, then loses it. I have had this scanner since it first was on the market. I am used to this problem when mobile, and close to a tower, but this has been happening at home for a few nights. I live just West of the Mousetrap.

Nope. My home terminal is over in Commerce City near the TA. I'm strictly mobile when there, using a Pro-96. I can usually copy most of the trunked systems in the Denver area with no problem.

Sounds like maybe intermod or maybe an antenna problem. Are you using an external antenna?

My online Denver PS feed is located downtown (16th & Larimer) and it sounds loud and clear. In my mobile I use two 780's and two Pro-96's monitoring Denver PS, DIA & Denver PW and those systems are loud and clear as well.

Rumor is there may be some frequency changes due to the on going Nextel issues but that has not occured yet.

Thanks for the replies. I am using the stock rubber antenna. It's just never been this bad. I took it to work today (one block from the capitol), and it was bad there too. Jim, is your live feed at live365.com/stations/jimmnn2 ??
I haven't had time to try it yet. Friday night is my play on th pc night.

What kind of issues? I've heard Nextel mentioned a few times now in regard to some trunked systems. So what's going on?

There are many reports available on this issue.

You might want to try the RS 800MHz antenna as the stock antenna that comes with that radio is a compromise on even the rest of the bands. I've got a friend who lives in the Fed Hts area and he was having some problems with the PRO-94 I loaned him. He picked up the RS 800MHz antenna and it really made a big difference for him. As usual YMMV. {GRIN!}
