Jim, what DPD channel is that?

Started as Dist 4 and then patched Dist 1 and Lakewood. It's a mutual aid patch channel.

That was cool to listen to. Although, They called it off for no reasson. Well they called it off because they found out it wasn't a kidnapping. What about all the other charges the guy racked up? Funny to hear a female voice yelling over the radio "I SAID TO BACK OFF!!!!"

Denver is normally quick to call off a high speed pursuit. A sergeant will come up on air, and shut it down in most cases. This is due to many legal problems the department has had in the past.

Most large departments these days have a no pursuit policy. This is upsetting, as it is becoming common knowledge amongst the masses that the police won't pursue. As a result, wreckless driving and failure to yield to the police is on the rise.

I have to agree with Joey. The thing that still gets me is everyone always wants the police to catch Joe Blow who just stole his ride but they are the first to sue the City cause while chasing that guy he totaled their ride.

Actually, Lakewood called it off after Denver took it up for a while; but Air 1 did see the car go into Swedish hospitals' parking garage--but since there was really no kidnapping they just did nothing.
I think they should have at least contacted the driver and scared the **** out of him for running. Of course then Englewood would be involved. :?
