When Denver Radio shop programmed my MPA a long time ago they programmed in TG that they called FD 8. I do not know what the TG number was. Has anyone ever heard of a FD 8 or district 8 or anything similar being referred to on the air. Or does anyone know the TG for FD 8 or ever heard any traffic on it.

Thanks,

Dave

FD 8 is always patched to DIA DFD 1. On a real radio, like your MPA, you won't hear anything on it unless you park on that talk group (select that group). When one talk group is patched to another, the radios will not scan to that group.

If you select that group and then scan the rest, you should hear traffic. The bad thing is that if you are sitting on a fire TG, you will not get the PD simulcasts, because you are sitting on a TG that is part of a different Agency (in the Agency/Fleet setup).

Ok thanks for the into. That makes sense now. Cause I have never heard anything on that channel in over two years and I have never just sat on that channel either.

Thanks
