Database was updated with a new DMR assignment for Denville PD on the same frequency they were previously using NXDN. Can someone confirm the switch and also advise if they are using RAS please. I haven't heard a peep on it.

Can anyone else confirm that they are hearing Denville police on 460.5875. I am using sds100 with DMR key active.

Yeah, me. Confirmed. They switched. On DMR. I will say their NXDN repeater got out better so I don't know if they backed the power down.

Quick note, I'm on the border of Denville and Rockaway Boro. I've had a strong signal since they switched to DMR and before, but as of the 18th I have not heard anything on 460.5875MHz.

I don't think it's a question of digital mode either, I haven't seen a carrier in days. Has anyone heard anything in the past few days?

After looking up their license grant I tried the other frequencies listed. I'd figured that 460.5125 is the input to their repeater, so not really what anyone would want to listen to, however I do hear some transmissions on 465.5875. They are DMR.

I don't know what this other frequency is, but they are licensed for a handfull of mobile radios to transmit on it so I expect it's another uplink, and not the broadcast from the repeater.

465.5875 would be the input to 460.5875. 460.5125 is only licensed as a very low power mobile simplex channel.

I can confirm that for the last couple of days, it has been working. Not sure what was going on before that.

Probably turned down the power. I noticed the same with Pequannock PD. Last year their DMR used to boom out all the way down 287 even in summer. It still gets out well, but it appears turned down. The repeater is licensed for 100 watts.

Could also be the antennas were made more directional, as was done with Wayne’s TRS, and many 7/800 systems.
