Hi been in the scanning hobby for 30 years and have never used the belt clip on any of my hand held radios so today i decided to put them on and clip them in the back of the holder made things a lot easier due to not having to push up the radio to stand straight against the holder.

Regards Lino.

hi Lino i recently sold my icom r20 due to the fact that i am not using it.i also gave my pro 96 away to a ham friend so he could occupy himself while he gets better after he fell off his ladder and received 185 stitches. i still have my GRE 500 still my favorite scanner.

Great photo and some very nice radios there Lino!

All the good manufacturers are represented with that collection.

I like the PSR500 and nearly bought one myself. Ended up getting the PSR600 to use a base instead.
Still getting used to the object oriented scanning system- but I find it is a great set to use and it perfoms well as a base station. How do you like the PSR500? I can see that you have yours tuned to Vicroads in the picture!

Gee Greg, I could not give away my PRO96- like it too much. Sorry to hear about the ladder accident, and I hope the PRO96 gives him some good listening during recovery.

Regards, Commscanaus.

Thanks for the idea Lino, your setup looks great and very handy, I too agree that gettin them to stand on their own is a waste of time.

I also had a question about your set-up. Your antenna feed, is it one antenna split 4 ways, 1 antenna for each? How does that work?

Gday Dan i am using 2 antennas Icom-AH 7000 Discone/Scanmaster Widenband Vertical & at the moment my stridsberg multicouplers are due to be sent back to the US for repairs which has been a difficult having over 20 radios run on a few antennas and a lot more cables.

Regards Lino.
