Does anyone know what the exact usage of these are?
They are labeled according to what little I have heard in the past few days. Some of these such as the ones labeled desoto so just need to be verified.

What kind of scanner are you using? The six digit talk groups starting with 7 are probably radio ID's on I-calls.

I have a BC246T. When it picks up ICalls, it displays "7190-7632" and so on.

I have noticed on some of the TGIDs I only hear one side of the conversation.

I have a 246 as well. Have you noticed whether the one sided conversation TG's are the 6 digit ones that start with 7. I don't think Motorola talk groups have 6 digits I think they are normally 5 digits.

I wish I could just find someone that had the complete official list (that would be too easy). This gets frustrating after a while.

Thats all of the fun. I'm in Cordova and can just barely get DeSoto Bartlett is ok sometimes. How do you get the TG ID's after you put in a tag is there a short cut on the 246?

I use the ARC246T program to download everything to my pc. From there I can just copy and paste.

Is this what you are talking about?

Yes but I don't hav ethe software. I need to check the manuel. Once I change the TG ID to an Alpha tag I do not know how to go back and see the Actual TG number. with the software I guess you can see all of that at once, apparently with out you cannot see it at all.

When you pickup traffic on a particular td, press hold and E. You will see where it displays Edit Name. Now turn the knob on your scanner to where it displays Edit TGID. Press E. Now you will see the ID.

Do you have your pc cable for the scanner? There is a free program that will let you program your scanner.

I have a cable but I did not know of a program that would program it with out using the Motorola, EDACS, LTR and conventional systems only.

Try ARC246T from www.butel.nl. It costs around $30 to $40. However, the trial limits you to uploading only 5 systems at a time to the scaanner. All you have to do is upload 5, and then the other 5 you have and so on. It is also time limited.
