OK, so I've got the new NJICS here in NJ as a favorite list. I've set it to avoid many of the sites throughout the state that are too far away, but I've left 4 in as I can get reception from them in my location. As the radio is scanning I can see it cycle through the sites, however when it stops on a transmission the Site name is replaced by the Talkgroup name. Is there any way to determine which site the radio is stopped on other than assigning each site its' own Favorite List? Thanks

That's one of the drawbacks that have been identified with the 536s. I believe several others have requested Uniden consider a firmware update that would display the applicable site name when the scanner is receiving a transmission.

Whether this is "do-able" is unknown, but if it could be, it would be a great addition.

When in the Virtual Control mode, ARC 536 Pro will display (and log) the applicable site on the computer display. So if having this information is critical to you, that's an option.

There are a few sites I noticed, that are primarily utilized by a specific talkgroup, so I know which one it is when that group is transmitting. Not sure on others. Yup, put it on the Uniden to-do list. Thanks

It must be doable because the 436 displays it just fine. In fact if I recall correctly there's another display mode you can enable on the 536. I don't have a 536 so I don't know if it will provide what you want, but have you tried that?

Easier to Read Manual said:
Press Channel to hold on any channel and press Func then 9(DISP).
Press Channel to resume.
With the BCD536HP, you can turn 3-Line Display on and off.

I've tried all of the various display modes on my 536 with no luck.

I suspect this happens with the 436 because the display is taller allowing for more lines in the display. Still with the 536 having a wider display you'd think this could be fit-in some how, or perhaps the site name/department names could alternate. Perhaps it could go in the lower right hand corner instead of the Favorites List tag (or maybe alternate with that).
