Hmm, I wonder what those last few groups that were still on it the other day are going to do... Maybe they've moved since I last listened (Friday I think).

That would be UDM Security, People Mover Security, and some building maintence type coms that I was hearing...

Hey Mike, I know you said people mover security, but did you know that they are actually DETROIT TRANSIT POLICE? I was down there for the auto show this year and rode it for the first time and noticed that there was no "security" people, that they were indeed Detroit Transit Police! You may have known that....but just FYI!!

Yeah, I guess I knew that.. I went by the Text tag I had on the system. I don't see them shutting it down today though. I just heard some Exec Protection transmissions on it just a few minutes ago on the EP Ops talkgroup...

Edit: I've now heard more Transit Police and DPD 1B talkgroups in use on the old TRS. If they shut it down, there's going to be issues...

OK, I stand corrected. The controller has indeed been shut down. The odd thing is that I monitored this system during my lunch hour. During that time, I heard the Transit Police, UDM Security, Executive protection details, Some DPW traffic, and what sounded like the mail room somewhere.

From what I can tell, there are about 4 repeaters operating in failsoft mode at the moment. At least two of the Frequencies have Oakland County's OpenSky operating (probably NOT from the Detroit Locations).

The following Frequencies are in FailSoft mode (Constant carrier, beep tone every few seconds):
