The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

It might help if you had a model number for people to check.

Couldn't find a list of codes with the corresponding number for those particular radios. That said, if you get the one for Motorola Talkabouts they will be pretty close. 67.0 is always number 1 and as they go up from there they should track pretty close. My group uses GMRS radios with a PL tone of 186.2 and so far that has been 30 on every radio we've brought to the party so I would expect the Dewalts to be the same. It will at least get you close and you can fine tune with others when you use them.

Post # 5 is 1000% accurate as a cut-paste right from the user manual

But for those who doubt click here

That’s the way it comes out of the box. I think he’s trying to find out what pl tone corresponds to the numbers when he changes them so he can make them work with other radios.

Yes I was wanting to know the tones that correspond with the number of the code in the default settings of the DeWalt radios but I am unable to find them like for instance if DCS number 11 in the default settings is DCS 071 DCS code and so on so that I can program them in my scanner and some other FRS radios for interop.

Take your scanner, put in the freq with tone search - key up

Guess you may need to make your own list, since these are the only documents found
