Does anyone here know the Denver Fire Department radio codes? Like when there is a structure fire they dispatch a RIT or a RIC truck. Does that mean rig in command? Also who and what is the air light commander? The other night they where giving him or her a hard time over something. I asked my cousin who works for DPD, but she did not know.

RIT is Rapid Intervention Team it's basically a safety engine to be ready and prepared to rescue firefighters in trouble.

Air Light unit = Cascade truck that fill bottles and provides lighting at working fires, see attached picture. Rescue 1 also has this ability if Air/Light is busy or not staffed.
