Just checking, are there any unencrypted operations on this system at all?

I'm bringing up a number of Broadcastify Calls Nodes for the DFW Area from my new home in Highland Park. Wondering if there is any public safety whatsoever that operates on this DFW Airport system.😜

You know what they say about Highland Park, it's 10 degrees cooler there. The reception is also 10db better I can get most of the DFW area major trunked systems with a simple antenna in a window. Just wait until I get the professional discone installed up in the air clear of structures. My house was build in 1929 so it's an overall RF challenge....

There's a lot of unidentified talkgroups on the DFW System, but all of them are masked under the big 'E', so I couldn't tell you what their purpose is.

Need to get back down there with the new version of DSDPlus after Turkey Day to see if I can garner anything from the Radio ID's.

All emergency services at DFW use the DFW Atlas system. Irving, Grapevine and maybe Euless all have interconnection via an ISSI gateway.

From your location you might be able to pull in Rockwall County and maybe TxWARN in Kaufman County. Also, add GMRS.

Would be nice to have a feed for the Grand Prairie site too, if you’re in range. That site has such a small footprint into Tarrant County, but have heard it well into Downtown/Uptown Dallas. Or FW Layer 1, since White Settlement and a few other agencies are dispatched on that site.

Out of the many hours and days I’ve had UniTrunker or DSD+ parked on the DFW Airport system, I haven’t found any talkgroups or units come across unencrypted, except for on the mutual aid talkgroups. Appears everything from public safety, to the airfield, to even the janitors and ADA carts are all full-time encrypted.

That was the same pattern on the old ProVoice system. Everything, down to the trash trucks, were ProVoice, except for the TGIDs that were connected for aid from surrounding cities.

Grand Prairie is now encrypting most of their fire stuff too. I honestly believe there's a huge downside to everyone sharing streams.

Would you be able to create node's for Balch springs police and fire ?
