Have others in major metro areas encountered DHS drones supplementing aircraft for aerial monitoring?

Hex: ~26A6F4 broadcasting the drive time play by play.

Hi, are they using any particular frequency or segment of the frequency spectrum? Drone wise

Might be fun to try to monitor for some Drones.

Thanks

Drones are all over now a days, but being that is a TIS-B hit not a hex number how'd you figure out it was a drone?

It was ~3,000 AGL and travelling between 40 and 65 knots. At that speed and altitude, it had to be a small drone/UAV to avoid countersurveillance. LE helicopters show up as rotary wing and fixed wing assets show up as Cessna 210s, Pilatus 12s, etc The operator could pull IDs on ground targets at about 1 mile distant.

The coordinating frequency was 173.9375 MHz and working an NAC of 340h. The operator was crystal clear with zero background noise and sounded better than many dispatch centers.

Admittedly, it was a new method of operation around here.

173.9375 $340 should be CBP on the Vote-Scan 14 Network out of Phoenix
you should have also maybe found some other frequencies in the same area as VS14 has/had 5 Repeater
South Mtn, Oatman, Florence, White Tanks and Freeman

Any other active found ?
