It was ~3,000 AGL and travelling between 40 and 65 knots. At that speed and altitude, it had to be a small drone/UAV to avoid countersurveillance. LE helicopters show up as rotary wing and fixed wing assets show up as Cessna 210s, Pilatus 12s, etc The operator could pull IDs on ground targets at about 1 mile distant.
The coordinating frequency was 173.9375 MHz and working an NAC of 340h. The operator was crystal clear with zero background noise and sounded better than many dispatch centers.
Admittedly, it was a new method of operation around here.
