What were you using for your prior antenna?

Assuming you are just referring to improved DTRS reception? Interesting because the Diamond is designed very wide band; Bands: 25-1300 MHz.

If your seeking 800MHz only I would recommend a yagi designed for that band.

Eric I was using ether a 800Mhz radio shack duck or there little sputnik antenna.
Jim I listen to both conventional and 800 a little of the local ham repeaters and air traffic control, some of the areas south and east use older fire frequencies. I have a yagi I use sometimes to point at Elpaso County and it seems good for directional listening. I would like to have your recommendation for that yagi but it must be able to be used in my attic. I can't put up a tower or large exterior antenna.
