Dickinson PD encryption

I have verified that The Dickinson Police are the latest in Galveston county to move their Police dispatch to encryption ! They now use T.G 3111 PD 3 admin channel for dispatch and is fully encrypted , they can be heard in the clear on T.G 3117 PD special events channel but I don't hear any dispatch calls here

I also heard a few days ago from a buddy of mine who is a ham radio operator in Harris county, and also a retired Harris county constable that he had heard from current people in the constables office that in 2025 Harris county sheriff and constables will begin using encryption on dispatch channels as well 😢 ! I sure hope this doesn't happen !
