did anyone hear Broomfield police standoff 1/16/10 with man w/gun in truck

Did anyone hear about Broomfield police or swat surrounding a man with a gun in a yellow truck yesterday, 1/16/10, Road 11 & 8. They closed the highway both directions? maybe helicopter called in. The man died. Looking for any details you might have heard.

And it was mostly weld. I was at work and my parents called me. Do you have an exact time so I can listen to the archives?

somewhere between 3 & 5pm we think. road was blocked around 4:30. do you have a field across from you? My understanding is man with gun left truck and went into field.

It was on the southwest corner of 8 and 13.

apparently Mountain View fire responded initially, along with Dacono and Firestone officers and Weld County deputies. I'm hearing some info on Weld's feed archive, starting around 3:25pm.

Ok. Cool, thanks. And yes, I can see the tree he killed himself at from my backdoor. It has been deemed suicide.
