Did Forney Go Encrypted? [a question, not a rant]

Starting Mon 5 Oct 21 around 2pm, Forney PD transmissions dropped off (FD is still up) and a new TGID of 5100 keeps popping up with no audible traffic.
Any thoughts? (no rants please per forum rules)

Maybe went phase 2, do you have a scanner that will receive phase 2?

Forney has been p25 phase 2 for several years.

I had to search for this one. Yes, this is a Phase II digital radio system. You will need to find a Phase II scanner or use a SDR setup.

If the RR DB is correct, since I don't live near this city, there are no indicators of either full or partial encryption. If you see a "T" in the mode column of this page, it is in the clear. "TE" and "Te" indicate the use of full or partial encryption, respectively.

Again, Forney has been P25 phase 2 for YEARS (over 7).
THAT WAS NOT THE QUESTION.

As of Tuesday 5 Oct 21, Forney PD is, in fact, encrypted on new TGID 5100 (just like Mesquite and Garland went encrypted).
I am sure RR will update soon.
