Hi,

I re-programmed my GRE and added wildcard objects to the PRWN. Listening the other day on the simulcast A freqs, the wildcard "hit" and displayed the numbers 2946, 2947. They were encrypted (or at least that's what it sounded like).

Are those the actual talkgroup numbers associated with the system? If so does anyone know what they are? I didn't see them in the RR database.

Curious.......thanks,
Clark

Those are probably encrypted, I have no idea what they are. There are a lot of encrypted talkgroups on RWC/PRWN system. There is some talkgroups on the system that are in the clear that are also not in the DB, these are usually rarely used talkgroups or talkgroups that haven't been ID'd yet. Just keep listening and submit anything new you find to the database. I'll make a correction to that, those are encrypted TG's I've logged them off of Sim C. Possible C deck 15 and C deck 13 but I can't really confirm that. They have the most hits out of any TG that I have logged and I constantly hear officer's switching to C deck 15 or 13.

I always leave my PRWN on search and I have probably picked up over 20 IDs but I have no idea what they belong to. Most of the time it just locks on but I don't hear anything so I block the ID. I have been hearing the Phx PD switch alot to Channel D. Is this something new?

These guys have SO many talkgroups it is utterly crazy. I gave up long ago on trying to figure out what this or that encrypted group was / is. There are just so many of them. But leaving wildcard / search on is a good idea because now and then you hear something clear like the multi-agency taskforce stuff, and event groups.

OK, thanks folks. If I find something identifiable then I will report it in the database section.
