Did Resorts Casino Change Radios?

When I was at Resorts earlier in the week walking around the casino, I couldn't help but notice that their radios sound
digital now and looked like those At&T push to talk over cellular radios (the ones you cannot monitor on any scanner). However, I could not confirm and did not have my scanner on me to determine if they were still using the LTR system in the 460 MHz band. If anyone can confirm or deny Resorts still using their LTR listed frequencies, please keep me updated.

See my findings here, I received IDAS trunked emissions from several of their frequencies when I made a day trip to OCNJ last week. Need confirmation from someone in the area if they are IDAS trunked now

Oh ok. Yeah, their radios definitely sounded digital when I walked through the casino. I didn't have scanner with me at the time because I had no way to hide it, due to not wearing a jacket. They also made that strange dial up tone sound each time they keyed up similar to the voice over cellular tone.

UPDATE: Resorts Casino in AC is now using NXDN TRUNKED System on their same frequencies. I am here now and can confirm
Good, please submit your findings to the database when you can. Be sure to include the detail that the old LTR system has been upgraded to NXDN IDAS (if you find a dedicated control channel or more then it's IDAS Type-C. If no dedicated control channel but periodic bursts of data then consider it IDAS Type-D)

I submitted that they are using NXDN TRUNKED now. No idea if it was Type C or D. I am not familiar with that technology.

I was nearby in August (my apologies, I meant to contribute sooner but forgot). At that time most but not all activity was off of the LTR system and there was substantial digital activity which I did not have equipment to decode. Among the old system's frequencies I received digital traffic on all channels but no full-time/ continuous control channel.

There then seemed to be at least one regular user still on the analog LTR system, some sort of service but I don't remember more. On the old security talkgroup I did hear one unit calling the security desk, then calling for a radio check, then I guess he or she figured out it was the wrong channel.

It looks like all the frequencies for Resorts were wiped out of the DB completely even though I simply submitted an emission change.

You submitted that the LTR system was no longer on the air, and so that system was set to deprecated status. If and when someone submits the details of the NXDN system, it will get created in the database as a new system. We do not "convert" trunked systems from one type to another, as there is a lot more to it than simply a change of emissions.

This posting is another way of explaining what I tried to explain at the end of Post #5. Next time I'm in the AC area (likely not until next summer) I'll throw them into my scanners and try and figure the system out if someone else doesn't get to it before me. Did you log anything while you were there? any TGIDs?

My scanner does not have NXDN, therefore could not log anything. I only have DMR. I just recognized NXDN by the sound it makes.

Here are the frequencies for Resorts Casino now using NXDN TRUNKED for reference since they are no longer in the DB. I also wouldn't be surprised if they are encrypted, since Trop, Caesars, and Ballys security are all encrypted now as the hobby continues to go into the crapper.
