Different antenna for sds200

I recently purchased the sds200, I'm thinking of upgrading the antenna. Looking at the Remtronix REM830B would it help my reception? I live in centralTX. Outside antenna not an option. Any experience or recommendations for indoor antennas would be appreciated.

Great antenna for 800mhz, but in my experience not very good for VHF, I can barely receive NOAA weather.

Since my area is heavily simulcast for FD, LE, Mil, and other services, I went this route for less than $25 USD:

If you have an attic, consider a discone antenna. It covers 25-1300mHz which covers all the spectrum of your receiver. I use one on an SDR and I receive public service stations 40 mile radius. Those cheap antennas hooked up directly to the antenna jack will give you pretty much very localized reception.
Ebay is another source for these style antennas. They have a relatively small footprint.
