Different antenna?

Has anyone noticed the 5/8 wave antenna mounted in the place that the wide band Mosaic antenna was mounted?

I noticed one on a B troop car Friday morning in Wayne, and on my way to Norfolk this morning I saw two more on cars that were working a traffic stop.

Are they finding that the Mosaic didn't work like they thought, or what?

I saw one or two wtih 5/8 Wave in the Sandhills.

That would be ok, unless they come to Eastern Side of state. Most 5/8 wave are lucky to cover a couple Mhz of VHF hi band.

Saw a Troop A car with a 5/8 VHF whip at 156 and Maple.
