Digital channels on a BCD-996T

I am a new owner of a 996T, and I have it programed, but for some reason the digital frequencies starts to come in as a buzz, but, then it turns to normal, but the voice sounds like it is not decoded very good, can some of you, help me?

You can eliminate the buzz that you hear at the start of a transmission by setting the audio type on that channel to digital. If it is not decoding well, goto Menu * Settings * See Scanner Info * FIrmware version, The latest firmware is 3.02 and if you are running something older then that then that might be causing the poor decode performance.

could also be related to a low signal strength. I get that sometimes on distant freqs.

I would go to Menu>Settings>P25 Waiting Time>select 400ms or 500ms. I use to get the same thing on a digital system I was monitoring and this fixed the problem.
