I have a Whistler 1040 scanner that was working great until about 2 weeks ago. For some reason on a random Thursday all my channels went silent. I was able to get Analog channels restored thanks to help from some guys on here but my digital continues to have issues. If I power off my scanner and leave it off for a while (hour or two) I will get traffic on my digital channels for about 2-3 minutes when I power back on. However, after about 2-3 minutes the digital channels go silent and i get nothing until I repeat the power off/on cycle. Any one have a clue what might cause this? Is it possible that somehow the digital conversion is overheating or getting over powered or something like that?? Any help would be appreciated.
