DIGITAL RADIO SYTEMS Exact number in USA??

Anybody know exactly how many public safety digital radio systems are in use right now in all of the USA? Was going to ask the APCO-25 Association but thought they may not give ou this data. Would like to see a state by state breakdown if possible. NY State has very few.

If you go to the database link on this page you can look up that information, but it won't give you the exact number that your looking for, only the known systems that people have reported. Many systems are mixed analog and digital, and some digital methods (i.e. ProVoice, OpenSky,VoIP, etc.) are not able to be monitored by current scanner models and may never be.

Why would you need an exact number?
