I just finished programming the 2096 with Scancat Lite Plus. All the trunking channels work fine but I had a few digital channels from the local airport I wanted to monitor but they are not coming in. I don't even get that noise when I go through them manually.
Did I miss something? Is there a vertain way to program digital

Do you mean you don't hear the Control Channel (the loud buzzing noise on a certain frequency) ? If that's the case, I can only think that you programed the freqs wrong. Check on this site for the system you want to monitor. Look at the frequency box where the freqs are listed. The Control Channels are in RED. And, I ASSUME you are talking about monitoring a trunking system. :)

No, either as trunking as KCChiefs9690 pointed out or FM if conventional. The scanner automatically handles the digital.

When you said airport that brings up another possibility. AIRINC provides radio systems at many airports for the airlines and support activities. AIRINC is changing over to digital trunked system, but they are using iDEN like nextel, so you can't monitor the systems. I have no idea what system you are trying to monitor, so just a SWAG.

Not trying to be rude but.

It would realy make things a lot easier for others to help if folks would post the system or at least the city it is that they are trying to monitor.

I take it you mean this system then

http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=2374

If you have all the frequencies put in and the scanner set as MO try this and see if this will work for you ok.

SET FOR OFFSET SPACING AND TABLE

WHILE SCANNING BANK YOU HAVE SET FOR TRUNKING MIDWAY press

PGM> TRUNK

FUNC > 2 AND TYPE IN

474.0000 & ENTER

NEXT TYPE IN

380 & ENTER

FOR THE STEP SIZES USE THE ARROW KEYS TO FIND THE ONE THAT YOU NEED

12.5 & PRESS ENTER
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEXT YOU WOULD HIT THE FUNC 3 BUTTON AND

USE THE UP- DOWN ARROW KEYS TO FIND TABLE AND PRESS ENTER.

Hope it works for you or if not someone in your area will be able to help you out
