Digital Scanner PRO-106

Hello,

I'm new to the scanners and right now I have a little 200 channel scanner from radio-shack. And I was wondering if the Digital PRO-106 would work for like listening to Detroit fire and other local Detroit metro cities.

* But to listen to tower 701 Detroit you pretty much have to be within the city limits.
