what is the best digital scanner out there at a reasonable price that’s pretty user friendly?
You stated in a few threads that you have a 436HP, that's not working well enough for you? Digital scanners & programming apps will always have a learning curve to them if you have little to no experience. A 436HP is runner up behind the Uniden SDS series as being the "best digital scanner out there"

How are "reasonable" and "user friendly" defined? As a friend and co-worker once proclaimed...."With power comes complexity!". And modern scanners having amazing capabilities or power. For me the ONLY way to program any modern scanner is thru software and even that has a learning curve.

This question as vague as it sounds, somehow gets posted so much on this forum. Soooo subjective.

What are you looking to listen to, portable/base, etc. It's like buying a firearm...I'm not going to war with my only .380 Glock if the enemy is carrying full-auto rifles. To pick the right tool, you need to know what you need/want.

Left as is, you're likely not going to get any constructive comments. Good luck.
