Today on the Tulsa TRS, frequency 859.9625 was being used conducting digital test. The frequency was monitored on a Pro 96. The testing stayed on 859.9625, monitored while in manual mode, no talkgroup information was displayed and the digital was not be shown in a scan mode. Both sides of the radio traffic was heard. They were talking about some of the channels no being in Astro and indicated the battery backup systems were not fully operational.

Keep in mind that in digital systems/talkgroups, it does not show the talkgroup while in manual mode like in the good ol' analog systems.

Plus, if it didn't stop on the transmission or show a talkgroup while trunktracking either, it could've been a "Private Call" or "I-Call".

I have also heard Digital? ( I think) traffic the last 2 days on Talkaround freq. 854.9625. It sounds like normal transmission except there's a loud buzz over it enough to cover what's being said.
