I copied repeated digital transmissions on 462.7000 MHz, sounded like open squelch.
The site is either Sutter Buttes or Oregon peak as they are strong here in Marysville area.
Not sure what format but do not believe to be P25. This is a GMRS frequency.
WQEP611 in morse ID is sometimes heard.
Anyone tell me what format is being used?

That is a GMRS license, but it expired in early 2011. It shouldn't be on the air with that callsign any longer. The myGMRS site also shows it as being active. If it is using digital, then it is out of compliance with Part 95.631 (a) and (e).

Thanks Markinsac, I also copied WQNY756 on 462.7000, same license.

Just wondering what digital format they are using. Maybe you could enter
the frequency into your scan list and help. They are not very busy so
one could monitor 24 / 7 unlike the 462.525 with the annoying beep tone
and noise bursts.

tnx jim vm
