Digital trunking--definition

Hi guy's, just a weird thought here.. When you buy a NEWER scanner, ( R.S or Uniden, Whistler, or GRE, ) alledgedly you can scan a digital trunked system.. Now, here's the kink. Isn't TRBO, Nexden, Open Sky,and Phase II digital? Can they not trunk? Then we --should-- be able to scan them.. I think it's a TYPE-O to the max.. No box specifies the exact type of digital trunking the scanner can or cannot scan.. False advertising or lack of description.
Your thoughts?
P.S, I have 4 digital trunking scanners..

I'd suggest that if you read the specifications before you buy, you'll have a clear understanding of what the scanners do, and do not, receive. The specifications will be found in the manual and the manufacturers web page, not on the box.
