  • PT0 and PT1: These refer to the two available talk paths in a P25 Phase II TDMA system.
    • P25 Phase II uses a 6.25 kHz talk path utilizing Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), which allows for two separate talk paths (0 and 1) on a single frequency.
    • When you see PT0 or PT1, it means the scanner is receiving audio from one of these two talk paths within a P25 Phase II system.
  • Link: This likely refers to the control channel or linking information for a trunked radio system. In some contexts, it can also refer to the M/A-COM way for a radio to change systems when the current system signal falls below a pre-selected/programmed amount.
    • Trunked radio systems, like P25, use a control channel to manage communications and assign talk groups to frequencies.
    • When you see "Link", it indicates the scanner is monitoring the control channel and potentially receiving information about the system and available talk groups
