Been scanning between 160-174, and i found 4 freqs with what may be a vhf trunk system, might be a
/\/\typeI, or a TRBO system, not sure as i dont have a trunk capeable scanner, the 4 freqs i get at my place in the east end are 163.23, 163.53, 163.62, and 163.95, i cant remember but out in the west end i think i was able to hear more carriers than just the 4 listed.

I forget exactly which city you're in, but I'm guessing Edmonton as TAFL shows all four of those frequencies licensed to the Greater Edmonton Taxi Service.

This is a MotoTRBO sound sample: http://www.hamradio-dv.org/mototrbo/mototrbo-undecoded.wav
I don't think those frequencies listed are MotoTRBO data, sounds like data terminal and or GPS
You will find a few active MotoTRBO repeaters in Edmonton between 451.0-453.0

A few companies In and around Edmonton that switched too Motobro switched back to conventional or leased space on a private owned trunked system. They found the radios did'nt work all that well.

Motorola Type I doesn't offer digital and isn't available on VHF.

TRBO isn't available trunked yet.

You might have found TRBO conventional channels or some other form of digital conventional channel.

I believe those are the taxi data channels for their in car dispatch terminals. They are a pain in the ass as they leak all over the vhf spectrum if you are in the NW side of town...
